Template Licence

This licence explains how Hidden Loves Studio templates may and may not be used.

By purchasing, downloading, accessing or using a template, you agree to this licence.

1. Licence granted

Each purchase gives the customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased template for:

  • One couple
  • One wedding or personal event
  • Personal, non-commercial purposes

The template is licensed, not sold.

Copyright and ownership of the original design remain with Hidden Loves Studio and/or the relevant rights holder.

2. Permitted use

You may:

  • Edit the template for your own wedding or personal event
  • Change the editable wording and details
  • Add your own photographs where supported
  • Change editable colours where supported
  • Download your completed design
  • Print as many copies as reasonably required for that wedding or event
  • Send the completed file to a printer solely to produce stationery for that wedding or event
  • Send the finished invitation to your own guests electronically
  • Keep a personal copy of the completed design

3. One couple and one event

One purchase covers one couple and one wedding or personal event.

The template must not be reused for:

  • Another couple
  • Another client
  • An unrelated event
  • A commercial project
  • Multiple customer orders

A separate licence must be purchased for a separate couple or event unless Hidden Loves Studio agrees otherwise in writing.

4. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • Resell the original template
  • Resell an edited version of the template
  • Share or distribute the editable Canva template link
  • Share the delivery PDF so another person can access the template
  • Give the template to another couple
  • Upload the template to a file-sharing, template or design marketplace
  • Use the design to create invitations or products for paying clients
  • Use the design in a commercial stationery business
  • Offer the template as part of a design, planning or printing service
  • Convert the template into another editable template for sale or distribution
  • Claim the original design as your own
  • Copy, reproduce or extract original design elements for separate use
  • Register any part of the design as a trade mark or other intellectual property
  • Use product images or mock-ups to promote your own products or services
  • Remove copyright or ownership notices for the purpose of misrepresenting ownership

5. Sharing with printers

You may provide the completed design file to a professional printer to produce stationery for your personal event.

Where access to an editable file is genuinely required by the printer, it must be used only for fulfilling your print order and must not be retained, reused, sold or distributed.

You remain responsible for choosing a reputable printer and communicating these restrictions where necessary.

6. Wedding planners and third-party assistance

A wedding planner, friend or family member may assist you with editing the template for your own wedding, provided that:

  • They act only on your behalf
  • The template is used only for your wedding
  • They do not retain or reuse it
  • They do not sell or redistribute it

This permission does not allow commercial stationery designers to reuse the template for other clients.

7. Customised templates

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customised templates remain subject to this licence.

Paying for customisation does not transfer ownership of the underlying template, layout, original artwork or design system.

Any customer-supplied photographs, wording or other materials remain the property of their respective owner.

8. Intellectual property

All rights not expressly granted under this licence are reserved.

The purchase price covers the right to use the template as described. It does not transfer copyright or grant permission to commercially reproduce, resell or distribute the design.

9. Licence breaches

If the template is used outside this licence, Hidden Loves Studio may withdraw permission to use it and take reasonable steps to protect its intellectual property and recover resulting losses where legally available.
